Description

The musical "Love never dies" is (c) Andrew Lloyd Webber/The Really Useful Group Ltd. . Feel free to correct me if something is wrong or missing.

Phans already know it: in 2010 "Love never dies" came on stage in London's West End, the sequel to the musical "The Phantom of the opera". Though it is disputed wether you can call it sequel or not, the makers seem to prefer seeing LND as a Stand-alone which happens to feature some of the characters from the first musical. Hmm.

The story takes place some years after the "adventures" in POTO. Christine and Raoul are married and have a child, Christine became also a very famous singer. A mysterious stanger (...!) invites her to perform in New York at Coney Island. There they meet with Madame Giry and Meg again. Poor Meg became a showgirl and ... ... ... I think the politest word might be "courtesan".

Enough with spoilers, those who don't know it already and want to learn more can find their answer on wiki or somewhere else on the Internet.
Love never dies is veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-EEEEEEEEEEEEEEry ;) disputed amongst the Phans. And I? Well. Well, well ... I could easily write essays about what's bothering me about the story just from hearing and reading about it. But I would be also a lie to claim that it doesn't appeal to my fangirl desires at all and that I have not the least interest in seeing it...! If only for the visuals, I read even for musicals standarts they present WOAH above average. And what I heard from the music is for my taste not that bad, either.
Summa summarum ... You'll get a real definite opinion from my side only if I should ever visit the show.
EDIT: Saw it now April 2011, will write my opinion in another piece of LND fanart that's coming.

I like this depiction! Christine in my opinion absentmindly blew off Meg at the start of "Dear Old Friend". Why don't more people, especially women see that hidden in there?! Love it!
